The Walk.

9/10 truth 1/10 fiction.
Sorry for wasting time.
Cold.
He was freezing. His jeans were wet, the snow melted through his shoes and his socks were drenched.
Yet, he was happy. Perhaps it was the fact that he couldn't see much, due to the fact snow had stuck to his glasses. It was no use trying to wipe them; the snow would just flutter on again.
He was walking a path. There was nothing around him but snow. It blanketed what could have been grass, or leaves left over from Autumn. The whiteness hurt his eyes, but he still kept going.
He had a nice winter hat with those ear flaps to block the wind. The wind at the time wasn't too bad, just enough for the snow flakes to gently fall at an angle, perfect for catching in his mouth.
He stopped for a moment, just to capture such a beautiful moment, the epilogue to a beautiful day.
He considered taking a rest, but there were no benches and the snow was far too cold to sit on.
So he trudged on.
You would think one would be bored on such walks, but for him it was quite the contrary. Following a path took little to no concentration at all, and he was blissfully immersed in his own day dreams.
He thought about her. The way she walked, the way she spoke, her laugh. It made him smile. The way she would pull the fuzzies from his sweater as they talked, how she would laugh even when there was nothing funny happening, and he would start laughing, and suddenly everyone would be staring at them.
God, he missed her.
